James J. NEDUMPARA, is Professor and Head of the Centre for International Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), as well as the WTO India Chairholder at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. 

James received his Ph.D. from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and holds master’s degrees in Law from the University of Cambridge, the New York University School Law as well as the National University Singapore. 

James has significant experience in trade and investment treaty negotiations and has played a key role in negotiating India’s recent FTAs. Among various publications, James is the co-author of the comprehensive treatise, International Economic Law: Text, Cases and Materials (2021), published by Cambridge University Press.
